You can take as long as you need to do this program. I do encourage you to move through this online program at a steady pace as each step will help you to reduce inflammation in your body. Absolutely not. It is never a good idea to stop medications especially something like a biologic. The aim of this program is to encourage a diet and lifestyle that reduces inflammation in the body. Psoriatic disease is exacerbated with inflammation. So this program will make any treatment work better based on less inflammation in the body and a healthy digestive system and mindset.

Your dermatologist is correct, psoriatic disease is genetic so at this stage there is no cure. When we talk about living psoriasis free, it is all about changing the way you eat and live so that your body is healthy and there is no inflammation. Just because there is no cure, it doesn't mean we need to remain sick. What it does mean is that we need to adjust our actions to encourage a healthy body and eliminate what triggers this disease so that we reduce the frequency and intensity of flare ups. To simply say there is no cure and you must stay on immune-suppressant medications does nothing to deal with the disease but simply takes you awareness away for a short period of time.     Psoriatic disease is linked to diabetes, heart disease and stroke which can all be terminal. By living your life the anti-inflammatory way means you will be preventing the possibility of such diseases from developing. Although there is the genetic factor in play, what we do and how we live is just as important if not more important.

As I mentioned above, this is a genetic disease so we can't simply remove that gene from our body. But I can personally guarantee you that when you see the changes and you start to feel healthy and fit and start enjoying life to its fullest, it wont be at all difficult continuing this way of eating.

This isn’t a weight lose program but many people have commented on losing weight. Our eating plan encourages healthy food and clean eating without the added sugars and refined carbohydrates. If you typically eat this way, then a new way of eating does lead to weight lose. If you are of a healthy weight range, then I always encourage people to eat small meals but frequently and typically make it a protein/vegetable based meal.

Absolutely. Eczema is a skin condition that is exacerbated by inflammation in the skin. Although there are key differences in eczema and psoriasis, this program will help both conditions very well. In fact, this program is suited for people with digestive diseases as well such as IBS, Crohn’s and Colitis as there is a link with poor digestion and psoriatic disease.

Due to the dietary changes needed to reduce inflammation in the body many meals do have meat in them. However, you could simply omit the meat component and make them vegetarian. As for dairy, we do have a recipe to make your own dairy free yoghurt and eggs are sometimes on the menu however, this can be simply changed for something else such as our Brown Rice Pancakes. live is just as important if not more important.

Will I have to quit alcohol, coffee, sugar and all the other tasty stuff?

As we have said previously, psoriatic disease is incurable. The program is structured to help you make healthier choices around nutrition and lifestyle. There are also many variables when it comes to someone's health. Most probably you will need the guidance of a health care practitioner during this time to get the most out of this program.  The 8-week program gives you all the tools you need to get yourself healthy and reduce inflammation in the body. But the truth is this can take a lot longer for some compared to others. Remember your journey of ill health has many lessons in it and so does the journey of becoming healthy again.
